Assessment:

There will be two internal assessments (component 1 and 2) which will be through assignments, and one eternal assessment which will be in the form of a set task by the exam board (component 3).

Who is the course for?

This course is for students who have an interest in the Health & Social Care Sector and who may consider a career in this industry. You’ll learn essential skills such as customer service and team work, and gain a full understanding of the various career opportunities available in this sector.

There are 3 main areas of study:

  • Interpreting data to assess an individual’s health and designing a plan to improve their health and wellbeing
  • The values that are important to the sector and the opportunity to practise apply them
  • Human growth and development, Health & Social Care services and factors affecting people’s health and wellbeing
