Assessment

Students will take part in a number of primary school visits in order to deliver sessions that cover their units. These are compulsory parts of the course.

Students will work through a range of practical and theoretical tasks in order to provide evidence of their competency against the learning outcomes. This can be achieved through observation, questioning, photo evidence and written work.

Students are also expected to assist and support in extra-curricular clubs to enhance their learning. They will need to keep a log of their leadership experiences and get these signed by supervising staff.

Who is the course for?

This qualification will give you the opportunity to develop many skills which will be of use to you, in both a sporting environment and life in general.

It is not concerned with your sporting ability but instead will help you to develop many different leadership skills, such as being able to organise others and to communicate with groups and individuals in a sporting setting.

You need to have a general interest in sport, but the focus is not on your sporting performance rather your ability to lead effectively.
