Hospitality (HALO)

Hospitality has been a very enjoyable subject; I have especially enjoyed going out on group trips to local business in the area. This was beneficial as you were able to see the working environment and speak to staff, who were able to give you advice. Also, it was beneficial doing the exam a year early, as you were able to devote your time just to Hospitality and not your other subjects. I found the coursework very interesting, especially when we were linking it to local businesses. I would say it is a very good subject to do as there are so many opportunities with hospitality.

"Having completed the Hospitality course last year, I can say it's one of the best courses that Twynham has to offer. Unlike other subjects it allows you to gain real life knowledge of the industry through the different topics and also being able to visit high class hotels and establishments to see how you can apply the knowledge you receive in class to real life. The course has an element for every student as even if you struggle with exams, the coursework portion is perfect for all abilities- especially with the help of the teachers and resources available throughout the course".
