Music Mark Status

Twynham School is proud to announce that it has become a Music Mark School. The status was received after the school was nominated for its excellent musical achievements by SoundStorm, the music education agency & lead partner for the Bournemouth & Poole Music Education Hub.

Music Mark is a national scheme that supports music education and it celebrates the first class access and engagement that Twynham School students receive to a high-quality music education.

The Music Department, led by Director of Music Kevin Cook, is a highly active one and stages numerous concerts for all ages throughout the school year. The department acknowledges the value of music education as part of a broad and balanced curriculum, employing a strategy which provides music education for all young people, and it engages regularly in conversations related to developing and improving the music provision within the local community.

As a Music Mark School, Twynham School will be part of a wider national team that embraces the opportunity to make a difference to the social and musical opportunities available for all young people.
