Exam Results 2025
Twynham Sixth Form is proud to announce the fantastic achievement of our students in 2025 exams, with our best results for over ten years. Our students demonstrated an utter dedication to their studies and have been rewarded with these outstanding results.
80% of grades achieved in 2025 were at grade A*-C – this places us well above both national and BCP averages, at 75.4% and 59.6%
respectively. These are the grades that truly open doors to students, and we are delighted that four out of five student grades reached this level. Some other notable successes were:
- Overall proportion of A*/A grades up 10% against pre-covid results
- The average student grade across the Sixth Form was a B
- The average History grade was an A, with 55% A and above and 88% B and above
- The average Art grade was an A, with 67% A and above
- Economics and Psychology grades were 10% above national averages at all thresholds
- Sociology achieved 38% A and above – twice the national average
- 8 out of 16 Further Maths students scored an A* grade
The proportion of our students reaching their first choice university also continues to climb and is now up to 85% - our highest ever rate. Some notable student successes include: Samuel, who achieved an astonishing five A* grades and is reading Natural Sciences at Cambridge; Talia, who secured a prestigious apprenticeship with Deloitte in Bristol; and Emilija, who has progressed to a Creative Music Production course at the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance. We are delighted that our students continue to be successful in academic, vocational and arts-based routes.
The accomplishments of this year’s cohort are a testament to the dedication of both the students and staff, and we look forward to seeing our students thrive in their future endeavours.
Well done to the class of 2025 – you have made us immensely proud!
