Pre-A Level Courses
The following materials are designed to prepare you to hit the ground running with your courses in Year 12. These courses:
- Recap and build on the skills and content learnt at GCSE
- Introduce some new course content
- Allow students to complete work independently to a Year 12 standard
Each subject should take 2-3 hours to complete and should be completed before joining in September, so be sure to space the work out over the summer break.
Each course has a dedicated email address of a specialist member of staff so that you can receive help and support as necessary. Please do not hesitate to use this if you encounter any problems - though bear in mind that teachers may not read their emails regularly over the summer break.
If you are opting to take Further Mathematics next year, please make sure you complete all of the Mathematics work given, including all the extension and 'For Interest' tasks. There are no tasks for the Core Mathematics course, although you may wish to revise the GCSE Mathematics content.
