Mental Health & Wellbeing
At Twynham School we understand the importance of looking after the mental health of all of our students, staff and the wider Twynham family. This is why we take a whole school approach to mental health and wellbeing, ensuring the right support is available to any student who may need it.
In order to best support the wellbeing of all our students we run a range of in-house interventions including group work, 1:2:1 targeted support, exam resilience workshops, peer support, bereavement cafés and ELSA to name a few.
We also work alongside several external organisations to enable us to offer the very best specialist support to students who may need it, including, weekly face to face counselling arranged and delivered in school, 1:2:1 bereavement support, low intensity cognitive behavioural therapy, sexual health outreach support and mentoring.
Please find below a selection of links to support which can be accessed by all of our families and provide information and signposting to a number of organisations.
If you have any concerns in relation to your young person’s mental health or wellbeing, please contact their head of year who will be happy to discuss support.
