Assessment: The qualification consists of three components that will give students the opportunity to explore different sporting aspects. These include developing an understanding of physiology and anatomy, the use of technology in sport, components of fitness, along with practical participation in sport, applying rules and regulations and identifying ways to further improve sporting performance. The course is assessed through two different methods, internal assessment where students will sit two Pearson set assignments in class under exam conditions over the course of a four-week block. Students will also sit one external exam, under exam conditions which is set and marked by Pearson.
